Poco a poco’s “Nijiiro” series is formed using an environmentally friendly bio-plastic called rice husk resin. “Nijiiro” is the Japanese word for rainbow. It’s inspired by the fun range of pastel colours utilized in the series. Let’s introduce how the “Nijiiro” series is created.

Rice husks are the shells of rice. They’re the hard outer layer of the rice that we don’t eat. These rice husks are removed during a process called “threshing” which separates the edible rice from the rest of the plant.
